Saw this guy on the Marathon page, already sold out ๐ข. Then googled and saw that Gnomon had it in stock and pounced. Came a week later (while I was on vacation in Canada, interestingly enough). Got back to the office today and unboxed and sized it up. Pretty sharp! Number 46 of 72.
Here's the announcement blog post from Marathon.

That is GD gorgeous!
Yeah it's basically awesome. I'm really happy to have managed to find it - I'd have thought a 72-piece limited edition would be scarce, but I guess Singapore isn't a big market for red maple leaf watches...
Noo doot aboot it.
I have a Grey Maple GSAR, they are awesome watches.
I actually have three Marathons, a GSAR, a SSNav, and a standard Nav.
Love Marathon. Been issued three. First two have been my only watches I've owned that actually have been destroyed or broken beyond repair sadly.
Good company that makes fantastic hard use tool watches.
But I do not think the engineers planned a complete JERRV tire, hub and all, falling from 15-ish ft directly onto the watch on concrete was part of the torture tests lol.
The other one is probably buried in the sand, somewhere in afghanistan IVO Khanashin/Khan Neshin Castle.
Can't decide if I want Wilson Watch Works to do a destro Steel Navigator with an acrylic, or save for the MSAR auto.
Those Canada flagged special edition look ๐๐ป๐ฅ.

I soooo badly wish the new steels had the option for an acrylic, but that's been my kick for the past couple of years ๐.

Does the same strap fit the GSAR and the SSNav? Or do you just happen to have two with the same pattern?

Sounds like good stories to have even if you donโt have the watches anymore. This one (and its owner) are unlikely to see any hardships of any kind. Or at least I hope so!

It's the same strap, both have 20mm lugs.
I like Erika's MN straps, so I tend to use them a lot.

Jealous!!! The stock photos look amazing.
I really enjoy my oddball from the Marathon lineup.

Thatโs a cool dial colour.
The red maple leaf should be the default on their maple leaf SARs.
Kinda strange they Marathon is using curies instead of bequerels. I get atmospheres for WR but for radioactivityโฆI feel like itโs a little more importante to keep up with the standard for that one ๐
Sorry guys and girls, my TSAR has as little writing on the dial as possible. Not that it matters much because its my bed time watch. It glows in the dark really well. And very accurate. And if 900 feet of water covers me up, it will still work. Duane...........Black Diamond, WA. 98010
