Dress watches

I have a wedding that’s black tie coming up and the first thought that came to my mind is “what watch should I wear to the event?”

These are the 3 watches I have in the dress category and it’s such a tough call because I love them all so much. I am curious to hear what my fellow crunchers have to say.

This website is amazing by the way. I visit this site all the time and watch a lot of watch YouTube lol. Thank you @Max for making this happen and so glad there is finally an app!

All are nice but I saw reverse. It is classy yet understated.

Gotta go with pop of color in the wrist, everyone looks like penguins already so might as well be different. 😜

Personally, I'd go for as discreet as possible as it's the bride and groom's big day. So Reverso.

The Reverso is a sport watch, so not that. I'd have gone for an original sized Tank, but it's Calatrava time.

I'll also use the excuse about silver being for the moon and gold for the sun, so silver for night.

With your taste in watches ? and your asking us? One for ceremony, one for dinner and one for the dance.

Don’t wear a watch with black tie.

So now you have me thinking that there is no dress watch in the pic! If it’s a black tie then surely you need a 2 hander? The JLC is a sports watch (but love it). This could be a poll. Should dress watches have seconds? Does it matter? Is there a scale relating to dress watches.

Dinner dance - Reverso (bit of bling but with activity)

Wedding - you need a Rolex because you would have to explain the PP when all you want is quick access to the bridesmaids

black tie - 2 hand simplicity
