Invicta Cutting Corners Post-Pandemic?

Just received two watches from Invicta Stores (invictastores.com). One was the Pro Diver 8929BRB and the other was the 30605.

I noticed that both bracelets had seven removable links, not eight. So instead of taking off two links from both sides, I took off one from noon and two from six.

Also, the 30605 removable pins were stuck so hard that the link disassembled when I attempted to remove them. This for only one side, yet not the other: that half resized as expected.

Question: has anyone else had QC issues with recent Invicta watch purchases? Or noticed that they're cutting corners on the number of bracelet links?

PS I noticed the 30605 came in a yellow cardboard box rather than the large wave, which previously was typical of Invicta Stores. While this packaging is less expensive, it's also less waste.

Not recent, as I no longer purchase any Invicta watches, but I have had a dial come loose on one watch, a crown stem come loose on another, and the entire movement break free of its mounts in the case on a third watch. Considering I have only ever bought six Invicta watches, that is pretty horrible quality control.

Bought a Pro Diver for my father in law as Christmas gift last December from Invicta. Came in the yellow "wave" box, but the build quality seemed average.

I own a Pro Diver with an ETA  2824-2 movement from 2005 and a Reserve with an IsaSwiss quartz from 2014. I'm lucky - I've never had  any problems with either watch. In fact, I consider them as reliable as any watch I've owned. So...can't slight my experience.

This past April (so Post-Pandemic), I purchased a Batman bezel 1953 (34333) off of Amazon that came in a small cardboard box (3.5" cube) and was missing any protective film on the front of the watch (it had film on the bracelet and display caseback).  The watch was not on the supplied pillow and the bezel had put some serious marks on the inside of the box... but fortunately everything seems OK.

Confirms what I'm seeing. Got a round of Invicta Aviators for gifts from Joma. One came in the full package, one came in cardboard, two came in small yellow wave packs. These are cost-cutting measures, for sure. Shrinkflation.

Never owned one but stories of Invicta 'quality' are legendary.

"They give me a watch with six complications and none of them f##king work!"
