My first automatic watch was a Tissot PR 50. My second was a Cretina DS-2 that bought 5 years later and after my second one I was hooked. I now have a total of 14 watches and I can't stop thinking, just one more watch.
i bought my first automatic watch at 21. I bought my second during a trip to Switzerland years later. This was the first time in my life that I had more than one functional watch at a time. The 2 watch rotation last a while until one got away. I passed on an all black watch I told myself was too expensive. I don't remember the brand or the model number, but that was the turning point. I've been an enthusiast ever since.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Casio F91W. I don't have it anymore and I'm not sure if it's even the right model number. I was 7 and had it ony wrist everyday until the battery died.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Try it on before you buy it. Take your time and don't rush. A higher price tag doesn't make it a better watch.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Longines, Hamilton, Mido
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
The Tudor Heritage Black Bay Chronograph (Ref. 79350) - function and form.
