I read @cosmican’s fascinating story about venturing into Asian watch brands (I assume Japanese brands are excluded from the list), which got me asking.. what Asian brands are actually out there?
I know of sea-gull (heck, I just placed an order on a 1963). But, what brands do you know of that are worth looking into? Is Pagani even considered a brand, manufactured by a proper watch company or just a name slapped on a homage/look alike watch?
Btw, I'm new to this community and pretty new to this 'hobby' (read: obsession), so thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Addiesdive, Steel Dive, San Martin, Pagani Design, Lobini, Pierre Paulin, Tandorio, Sugess, Proxima, Tactical Frog. All solid brands.
Also, Guanqin is great. Mine has been running swimmingly for 5 years. Good NH36 movement.

There’s some good Singaporean brands like Boldr and Zelos and Phoibos in Hong Kong are also worth a look. They’re all more expensive than the Aliexpress ones you found but they’re great.
Rmalti, or Pagani are my favorites
If you'll consider South East Asia, take a look at Wise.
Reef Tiger at least has a cool name :)

I heard of the two Singaporean brands you mentioned, Zelos being more known (at least to me).

Never knew there's a watch maker in Thailand!

Yeah I know right. But they're doing some interesting things in the affordable space. Like utilizing damascus steel.

Hi. That's good to know coz I was wondering about purchasing one. I for one couldn't leave out Japanese watches per 'Asian' list, let alone Chinese Guangzhou city watches. I believe that pretty soon we will be revering some of these timepieces - once they eliminate fakery!
