Yes good review. Informed and to the point. I love Orient Bambinos especially the open- heart versions, with their quirky off-set positioning and overlap of sub-dials. Always brings a smile to my face. Imagine that, actually finding oneself smiling at a piece of minute machine. Priceless!
The ' panda' look is where it's AT! Not only for the moment - because the heritage vintage look is on the rise and because do we really need six- hand, four- dial watches?!
In a nutshell your small collection will not see you fretting about which watch to wear when and how. You have it all there, dress, diver, field and every day. That's all we really need.
I'm reliably informed that Hamilton is not what they used to be?! Not being an engineer or watch maker I can't exactly pinpoint the 'ball of confusion ' where Hamilton is concerned but most of the comments I've seen suggest that they are trading (still) on their U.S military heritage but not delivering the hardiness of yesteryear. So I'm gonna say ...get the affordable set. Then you can have a little play around with different brands.
Hi. That's good to know coz I was wondering about purchasing one. I for one couldn't leave out Japanese watches per 'Asian' list, let alone Chinese Guangzhou city watches. I believe that pretty soon we will be revering some of these timepieces - once they eliminate fakery!
