While there wasn't all that much going on since my last sotc post, I decided to take a picture of the entire "family" again - something I haven't done since my very first post last year.
My newest addition is the green Citizen Tsuyosa, which might come as a bit of a surprise given that I also own a PRX. But don't be fooled into thinking the Tsuyosa is a mere copy of the latter, because it's so much more than that. The president-style bracelet looks and feels completely different, maybe not as luxurious as the one on the PRX but still really nice and light. The sunburst is a bit more subtle, but beautiful nonetheless. Last but not least, while the crown might be a bit flimsy and difficult to handle, the movement is a pleasure to adjust. Unfortunately, its accuracy is underwhelming to say the least: +40 secs day is not what I would call "reliable" by any means. On the other hand, my OceanX with its NH34 performs virtually identical, and I couldn't care less. After all, they're still mass-produced, entry-level automatic movements and not some handcrafted COSC-certified masterpiece.
The PD-1701 is back on its original bracelet, which - despite its flaws - is still very comfortable, even after several hours.
My Orient Envoy got a lot of wrist time lately, which it desperately needed after sitting in the box for almost a year. After experimenting with a couple different straps, I decided to keep it on the same old Hirsch croco: "Never change a winning team!"
The Presage finally got the chance to be worn as an actual dress watch, since I attended a wedding last month. It might sound ridiculous, but I've had difficulties following the ceremony since I kept staring at my wrist, admiring how beautiful the watch looked under my satin white sleeve.
As the extremely clickbaity title suggests, a Rolex is still nowhere to be found in my collection. In all honesty though, I couldn't be happier with my small and humble selection of low- to mid-tier timepieces. It's been a fun ride ever since I bought my first automatic watch in July 2021, and I'm excited to continue this journey, wherever it may take me! 😊
