SOTC - Soviet Time Machines

After some years of casually collecting, I've finally completed my odd-ball Soviet watch collection.

All repairs, servicing, polishing undertaken in-house (meaning I fixed 'em up at the kitchen table), and after a few strap changes on some in search for perfect matches, I can close the book on this scavenger hunt.

I don't actually wear any of them, I used a few to learn watchmaking on, as they're cheap, robust, and quite interesting in design and finish, and so the collection just kind of formed. I have always had a fascination with that time and place, although I must say, I loathe the ideology.

I've no idea what to do with them other than look at them occasionally.

Unique collection. Wear them😉

I remain in awe of how Homo Sapiens will amuse and enlighten themselves. This in my opinion trivializes my more casual interest in watches. As you say terrible ideology, the worst.

·

Very nice. Why not wear them?

Very nice. Why not wear them?

While I like them, they are not an expression of me.

·

You did the work! Take ‘‘em for a spin every once in a while.

Really nice and diverse collection, mate!
