Love my 168.027 on a strap, but the vintage bracelets are costly and tricky to find with the right end links. I’d say bracelet all the way. Also be careful with polished examples. These cases have a lot of subtle yet sharp lines. I’ve handled polished examples, and I’d way rather have one that tells a story than one that’s soulless.
Hype aside (even if this model didn’t exist back in the day), I think a vintage inspired chrono like this would do really well in our modern watch world. Other brands have had success with vintage styled chronographs (as well as other types of watches). Obviously impossible to a true read on anything with that crown on the dial. I think anything Rolex nowadays = sales.
