My horological journey always strongly tied with vintage Seiko.
I remember my uncle gave me his 6138 Kakume and 56 KS for my graduation gift. At that time I'm very clueless at handling vintage timepiece. But as time goes on, my interest in vintage watches, especially Seiko, are steadily increasing.
To keep them running are very challenging task, but seeing them working properly is a bliss.

Dude, I have been resisting buying, what I assume is mostly rebuilt, Pogue for some time now.

Same!! But I’m not too opposed to a rebuilt though… at least I know it will work lol

That is my take. We are not talking franken Rolex's here, it is a watch they made a ton of that were really not meant to last.

Done. Tons of dealers in Asia selling rebuilt versions, but they tend to be priced to high. First of us to find a good dealer.

Or even the OP might know and possibly direct us to the right folks @horlogato !!
Ohhh man! Stupid me!! Our good friend @Whitesalmon can also help us!!
Those chronographs! 💛
I see my dream collection
The 6138 is a must have in any collection, even from a Citizen fan boy's perspective.
Just wow 🤩
Man those old Seiko Chronographs have excellent cases and dials. Wonder why they haven't been reissued....
Beautiful collection! My only Seiko is my Dad’s 1966 Asian Games Single Button Chronograph.
I’d like to add a Pogue one of these days.

No need to cross the Pacific to get a good Seiko vintage. I got my first vintage Seiko from Master Gareth @GasWorks. Crossing the Atlantic will be easier for you both. And yes, @Whitesalmon will be an excellent companion and guide. His vintage Seiko collection is dope!
Here in the PH, you may want to check out @seikophile or @watchandwristph on IG. Haven't bought from them yet, but they carry very good vintage models. You can also try @tokeimedic from Japan on IG. Here's his website:

Amazing collection well done! I've got to get myself a Pogue one day. It's such a minefield though potentially.
I think I need to remember. 'Better to have fought and lost than never fought at all' 🙂
