I always said that nobody notices your watch. Granted, he tried to sell me something, but the first thing he did was compliment me on my watch.
I was always of the opinion that nobody notices, but I guess salespeople do. (Makes sense, as they are probably rather experienced in gauging people quickly.)
In any case, I was wrong, people do notice, at least when trying to sell you something. ๐

So now you'll have to say that 99.99999999999999% of people don't notice your watch.
Watch sales people notice your watch too. Believe me, I used to be one.ย
And did he tell you, โ you look hot with that watch!!โฆ gets me all the time!!!

Yes, non-zero number of people are noticing my watch. Could be an irrelevant fluctuation. Only time will tell.

No, he gave me a plastic cup with blueberries, which was rather nice. (And no, I'd rather not have a discussion whether I look hot...)

Mainly used it to judge if someone was a serious potential buyer. If you have multiple customers in the store, you have to decide which one to give more attention to or which one to jump on before another salesperson gets them.ย

And I thought your choice would have been watermelon. ๐
Just an odd surprise...

Makes me think of my time working trade shows. That was in the medical field, and the trick was to tell the staff from those making the purchasing decisios. It was mostly about the questions they asked. Very hard to tell by appearance.

dude are you a drug rep? My wife used to work the trade shows and I still deal with drug reps everyday lol

Close, I was a subject matter expert that supported the reps. Other than me being eye candy, of course. ๐

I get comments on my watches at least every couple of weeks. People like co-workers, barbers, etc..ย
I think more people notice than most think, but also think normal people aren't noticing what "watch people" think they are noticing.ย
I get comments about watch colour, straps, or the watch suiting my clothing, but never comments about brand.ย
Salesman, girls looking for sugar daddies and thieves will always notice your watch.ย

When excluding family, as they don't really count, this was the first time that somebody ever said about a watch. Granted, I wear Seikos most of the time, so why would they? I think most people wouldn't be able to make out the brand from a distance, unless it was a very specific model.ย
But what I think is more the case that people seem to look at other aspects of you more. I got comments on shirts, shoes, glasses and a few other things in the past. Maybe you are right, people notice, but I still doubt it's what they notice first.
