Obsessing Over What Goes in the Travel Roll

How long does it take? 20 min seems too long. Luckily, my wife is at work so she's not over my shoulder, shaking her head at my madness. This is the final lineup. A beater, already on wrist and posted in WRUW. Tell me I'm not the only one. I decided to take the pilot watch I've neglected forever and give it some wrist time. Something slightly dressy....the new Timex auto that arrived yesterday and a dive watch, the Citizen. So, back to finishing packing.

It’s always a hard choice!

Deciding what goes in the suitcase: 2 minutes

Deciding what goes in the watch roll: 2 weeks

·

I'm down to a pretty standard set of watches for travelling these days, so my picking time is pretty short. Before I settled on my travel watches, I would play around for a few days before travelling, mixing and matching things until I was happy.

·

I take 7 which makes life a little easier. The Mrs takes much longer deciding on Jewellery, but will still chide me for my 15 minutes of indecision.

·

I’m literally dealing with this right now this morning. Planning on taking a trip to Nashville and I don’t just want to take three watches-so I am taking six. 😝😅🤪🙈 Three GS’s, two Rolex and a GADA Tudor Ceramic for exercise. Took me all evening yesterday to figure it out

I had to laugh! That is so me when I travel. What can I safely wear? Who is going to be there? What am I wearing?

Yes. The lineup changed several times.

Funny how that works.

Yeaaaah. I think I like your watch roll better.

That question is haunting me weeks ahead of a trip!

Oh and every time I leave home for 3 or 4 days (which is all the time with my job), I just take one watch with me. Never straightforward 😂

·

I do the same thing 😂 recently I’ve been limiting myself to two watches while traveling. one is usually the Casio f-91w or a g shock and the other is an all around watch. I find it helps me appreciate my watches more. But I totally get this!

·

One GMT. One nice sports watch and a G-shock for the pool.

For me going to Florida in July it will be Marloe GMT + Cartier Pasha Grille (if i get it back from its service in time) + got to be a casioak mini 'cocain' addition

My last trip found me being a tad too ridiculous.
