NWA but there's a problem

Super excited to get my first automatic mechanical watch only to have my bubble burst when it arrives and the bracelet is way too small. No extra links in the box.

What do I do now?!?

Amazon has a million bracelets...just have to get the right lug size and length.

They have them like what it came with? I was just on Long Island Watch and they have them for specific Orient watches but apparently doesn't fit my model.

·

BTW, I have a seemingly large wrist but this watch wouldn't fit on a 5 inch wrist. There's only about a total of 6 links and the clasp

Maybe...I just so happen to be wearing my Mako I and bought a quick release bracelet from Amazon. Mine came with a rubber strap originally so I have no context.

·

Put it on a NATO strap.

·

Really weird… where’d you get it? Maybe contact the seller? I don’t have an Orient so my only point of reference is my San Martin, which had a looooong bracelet. I had to take out several more links than normal to get it sized.

·

It appears the LIW bracelet may work. They don't list my model but when I look up my model ( FAA02009D9) it comes up as a Mako 2. I'll take a shot and order it up. Just bummed I gotta wait to wear it. 😭

Got it from the jungle site. It does seem weird. It also didn't have any protective plastic on it. Probably got a return or something. It looks perfect though.

Return it.

Return it.

That escalated quickly

Agree with @foghorn . Return it. That’s exactly what you got, someone else’s return. Probably for the same reason.

I have the same model, but in black, and it definitely has more links than that. Even after adjusting mine has more than 6. Something shifty has happened — was it second hand? Could it be a customer return?

Is the mineral crystal scuffed too?

I counted the links. There are 9. The watch looks perfect. Not a scratch

Watch an unboxing video on YouTube. That thing comes plastered with plastic. You got somebody’s return. I’d send it back.

Looks like you have the answer. If you ever need a bracelet in the future go with Uncle Watch Straps. They were recommended to me by @genxwatchguy1969 for my Speedy and it worked out perfectly.

Good luck.

Mine has 11, and that’s after I took a few out to size it.

·

I'd return it, get another one

·

The end links don't fit the lugs. There's a gap. That doesn't look like the genuine bracelet either. Return it and buy from another seller if possible.

·

I’m pretty sure that’s probably a return. Part of their program to let you try it for 7 days for free. I’m going to guess the last guy took out the links and adjusted to fit him but was too lazy to put it back when he returned it.

·

I have DOZENS of orient watches. Modern and older models from the 90's. All came on bracelets and all fit my 8.5" Shrek like wrist. On occasion I'd even need to remove a link or so. If your watch does not fit the bracelet was clearly sized for someone else. I'd ask the seller about that.

·

Any bracelet for an Orient Mako should work. They don't change the case dimensions, only dial color and metal finish.

·

IMO LongIslandWatch or Uncle Seiko are the go to for fitted steel.

Forstner would be the option for straight end links.

·

Due to overwhelming demand... I'm going to return it but, keep the LIW bracelet I've already ordered. I really liked their bracelet on my Duro.

·

Return it (2)

Or buy an aftermarket bracelet

I returned it today. Have a replacement coming and a bracelet as well. Something will work. 🤣
