Same here. What I like in watches are also properties of dive-style watches.
I find divers most functional for water resistance and general hardiness. And you can get lux divers too. And you can go dressy if done right.
My collection is diver heavy right now. I keep saying no more divers but I still throw loving glances at them.
At present my collection is heavily skewed towards a split between divers and dress/sports watches, though my most frequently used EDC pieces are a field watch or the G-Shock of the day

While I don’t have any yet, because they’re generally more expensive, I am most intrigued by chronographs

tho’ lately I’m all about interesting or unique looking watches. But if interesting and unique diver then it’s a ‘must buy’ 😂
Yep, divers I live in a tropical environment, It’s the only truly practical watch to have in this type of geography. My dress watches, hardly get worn for the same reason. The difficult thing is to find divers that don’t look like divers. 😉
