I'm an affordable watch enthusiast. Have had a slow journey into watches over the past 11 years, but since 2021 have been digging deeper into the hobby.
Have worn a watch since I was 10 (or 12?) and got my first digital. Slowly compiled a low key/cheap collection. I didn't realize watch collecting was a "thing" until the past few years. I just knew I loved watches.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Timex or Casio digital. Can't track down the reference number and only one pic with a tiny glimpse of it.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I have one with a great story connected with it. Not behind why I bought it. But why it will always be in my collection.

Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
But what you like. The haters can lick rust. There is no one "right way" to build your own collection.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Really interested in microbrands. A few that have caught my eye are Phoibus, Henry Archer, Vario, Zelos, Farr and Swit, MMI, Nezumi, Lorier, Straton. I also have some interest in offerings from Citizen, Momentum, About Vintage, Bulova, Lum-Tec.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Cartier de Santos. The story behind it being the first "pilot's watch" and the details - the face designed to look like the streets of Paris from an aerial view over the Eiffel Tower. And I love me a square watch 🤷🏼♂️ as long as it's not a a***le watch.
