I’m not fully sold on the idea of the watch winder unless you own a mechanical perpetual calendar. Otherwise, unless you don’t wear the watch for years on end, modern lubricants don’t go “stale” so there’s not much point for a winder except as a display, in which this case this one is on the luxury end. But I might get it, if I were in that demographic I’d love to have my collection on display and easy to choose from like that.

I'm sure MB&F lovers have multiples of this thing.

My wife bought me a cool watchbox that has two built into the top.  Due to the fact that I will grab a watch and put my current watch back where ever I just grabbed the new one from- more often than not the winders have a digital and a quartz spinning around on them... and now that I think about it, my G-shock is a perpetual calendar...so there's that.

instead of tv set we should look at the big watch winder in living room? thats insane 😂

I tried to come up with a snarky answer as to who would buy this, but I still have no clue. 😉

I read somewhere that it's to protect the seals in screw down crowns because apparently it can damage them if you are unscrewing the crown every couple of days so the winder keeps them going so you don't need to set them. No idea if it's true or not

This just has a very Sharper Image vibe about it to me. Which is to say a classless nouveau consumerist ostentation.

Interesting. To hell with the whales, save the seals!
