Dream watch of the moment

What is your attainable dream watch ?

The Ball engineer III Endurance 1917 TMT is mine. For the next 12 months I will be working to pay off debt, help my parents out financially, save up for a plane ticket to visit them and then hopefully buy the damn watch (in that order).

And so the second (less enchanting) question, how are your priorities impacting your ability to acquire the watches you desire ?

I’ve been looking at this beauty. Might have to pull the trigger.

Great question... Pay off debt. Then pay off more debt... See if I can convince the wifey on liking the watch I want, then most likely pay more debt. (Need to put money away for the kids university).. then maybe consider the possibility of the search continuing... 🤣🤣🤣.

Love your attainable dream watch. It is a stunning watch. Good luck. Hope you can get it.

That is a great looking watch. An analog watch that has a built in temperature scale is super awesome. Good luck with your purchase.

Something from #stratonwatchco but it’s hard to pick.

Too bad it’s only even remotely accurate when it’s not on your wrist 🧐🤣

Yes, I was disappointed as everyone else when I found this out. Almost every feedback I’ve seen from owners say that their estimation based on feel is more accurate than what the temperature gauge reads on your wrist.

Two attainable but still distant dream watches are the Patek 5212A Weekly calendar and the Moser Streamliner. Even more attainable, a Cartier Tank Louis.

As for what's impacting my ability to acquire them, I usually by pre-owned, so I'd need to wait for a good deal. But it's also a combination of financial prudence and choosing an engagement watch for my girlfriend. The Cartier Louis may very well end up being for her, though she'd like a gold Reverso too 😂

I had a Roadmaster TMT which was a watch I loved apart from the inaccuracy of the temperature gauge when the watch was on my wrist.

It read about +5 degrees centigrade on the wrist which bugged me so I sold it. As long as a buyer is aware of this inaccuracy and it doesn’t bother him it would be a fantastic watch.

I have never handled a ball but have heard they are very well made watches.

Regarding watch purchases as a priority they are below the bottom of the list. I will never spend a lot of money on an unnecessary luxury item, especially for myself, if it compromises important purchases in any way shape or form.

They might have discovered the only way to appease the "date window at 6 vs. at 3" warring factions

Lucky man 😅

I'm taking "attainable" pretty loosely!

Really like it. That TMT complication is amazing!
