Diver's on the leather strap?

Diver's on the leather strap?

I didn't think that was a good idea for a long time. But

1. there are waterproof leather straps like this one for my MM200

2. it looks damn good 🥰

Why not?

Who dives with them anyways?

Easy enough to swap leather for rubber or bracelet and swap back to leather when you get back to dry land.

This one? Crepas of leather

I usually have this, or my other divers on a NATO or tropic or a bracelet for my others but I do like it on the leather. No foul.

I also wore Natos on my watch for years, and I still like it.

For a long time I couldn't even imagine using leather straps: The ones I knew were not particularly durable and not hygienic either.

I now prefer leather because it is more comfortable to wear and at the same time looks more beautiful and of higher quality. I have found that WR leather is also robust and easy to care for.

Diving not (not or me), but swimming is allways an option 😀

Quite a few people take the intended use case for divers & just say "Yup, that's how it should be worn forever & ever, Amen." completely ignoring that 1}there are maybe 1% of dive watch owners that even take them in the water, let alone dive with them. And 2) it's not even their watch to tell you how to wear it.

Divers look damn good on leather and I have no problem with them being worn that way.

I have no issues putting leather on a diver. I'm more particular about which leather strap to put on a diver, and I don't even care about the strap being waterproof. I have a few specific watches I use if I know I'll be submerging my watch. Most of my divers never see more water beyond washing my hands.

Its your watch, put a dental floss band on it if you love it. No other opinion matters

There are good and robust hybrid leather watch straps:

the main part, including the eyelets and spring bar passage, is made of rubber. Leather, on the other hand, adorns the outside. They are available from EULIT and HIRSCH (sports series), for example. I have hybrid leather straps from both, they look authentic and bombproof.

They will never fall apart in and through the water.
