SMP 300 Professional - Clasp Pushers Disaster (short CPD)

Hey WC fam, I want to share something I experienced today with you.

I bought my SMP 300 in April 2023 and am very happy with it. This summer I brought it with me on my summer sea/beach/diving adventure and did not hold back wearing the sh** out of it. The watch is amazing and I'm loving wearing it as if it was the first day owning it. After short hesitation I began to trust my watch more and more and wore it more confident in water/beach scenarios.

Everything went very well and the watch performed and looked breathtakingly 🙂

BUT ... somewhat before the end of vacation it happened: the clasp pushers disaster CPD. It got stuck while wearing the watch, I tried to fumble it off and off it came; the hole thing with a clasp screw, the easy adjust "push" button -CPD. I went to the next AD (1.5 hours drive) and they knew the problem, would fix it, but had to send it in for SOME weeks. So I thankfully declined because I was there only for a short holiday time and tuck it away.

Yesterday I came back from the holiday trip, so today I went to my AD in Zurich and thought, they might as well send it in to fix it (aka wait some weeks for my precious watch).

Here my AD experience: The staff was very friendly, polite and understanding. They immediately understood the situation gave the bracelet to their watch maker (in house). I was offered something to drink, got to see some cool new watches and fifteen (!!) minutes later I walked out with a brand new clasp on my bracelet and the whole watch on my wrist - a warranty case. Shout out to the AD and the service provided! This is how I want to be treated (I know this should be normal and still it amazed me)

What are your encounters with AD's especially when NOT buying anything? Did you have similar experience? I'm interested to hear it.

Good customer service seems so rare these days that when it happens we just want to shout it from the rooftops.

Good to know. That’s the “closest” ad to me.

Has anyone tried this in a US Omega AD? I have a bad feeling that they may not be as nice. My last experience at a Rolex AD wasn’t good at all.
