Italian brand watches

Our 30th wedding anniversary is the end of this month. We are celebrating in September with a trip to Italy. I want to celebrate by adding a watch to my collection. I am looking for recommendations of brands that are specific to Italy. Thanks in advance!

Obviously Panerai…..bur Viqueria is an interesting micro brand.

·

Check out Echo/Neutra. I’ve got one of their field watches with a moonphase complication and love it.

If you go to Florence you will find the original Panerai shop.

·

Maybe check out Venezianico

Bulgari, Unimatic?

·

Panerai

·

Panerai obviously, but that Venetziunpronouncable brand looks like they make some really nice stuff..

I like their ultra black watches, really different, reasonably priced and have a whiff of Moser about them.

·

Squale

·

Anomino in Firenze - when Panerai went Swiss and cut staff - Anomino took on ex Panerai staff and apparently secure some of Panerai's old tooling.

·
Maddox

Maybe check out Venezianico

Never heard of this brand, but some of their models look great. How does the quality compare to other brands?

Also, nice pairing with an Alfa! 😎

id say you can expect the quality youd expect from the pricetag. that being said if you hit them up on instagram or social media in general im sure theyll give you an extra something if youre interested in buying something from them :) i remember getting 15% off one time or for the Avventurina model they gave me a jubilee bracelet for free which is kinda insane 😅

🇮🇹☕️😎

Squale is one to consider.

·

I believe the company is technically based in Switzerland, but if legitimate Italian heritage is sufficient, check out Direnzo.

·

Unimatic are really slick!

·

Unimatic, I have always been satisfied with their build quality and design. They did a collaboration with Massena LAB which is quite appealing.

·

Panerai, Unimatic, Bulgari, Squale... Also very italian (but its not a watch from italy): Vintage Eberhard or a Daytona 😛

·

Unimatic - Milan

Anonimo (formerly known as Panerai) - Florence

If going for Swiss Italian - Parmigiani Fleurier

Here is my favorite Unimatic…

Try Venezianico. This is Avventurina model. They will also have Redentore Ultra Black in by June.

40mm and 36mm beautiful couples watches if desired. Pre order is on for only one more day.

·

I strongly recommend you stop by HTD in Florence, their location is close to the main square and their watches are beautiful and unique.

Another Florence stop, Giuliano Mazzuoli. His Manometro just looks so Italian to me. I especially like the chronograph. They are pricey for an ETA movement but it's all about the style with these.
