There is a watch YouTuber who mainly does watch reviews but also occasionally shows really awesome drawings he's done of the watches also. Can't remember his name. Maybe someone will.
This image gave me an interesting thought about watches and time, and displaying art of a favorite watch.... It'd be really cool to have the watch pictured in a piece of art display the time of day and the date of one's birth. For me, that'd get me thinking about my life and the passage of time, and would be both a motivation and a reminder. Just a thought I figured I'd share with some like-minded (perhaps time-minded) individuals...
I don't mean to be contrarian or anything, but I have problems seeing the artistry in photo-realistic stuff. They seem like technical sketches with a little shading. It's a representation, but it's not evocative. It takes skill, and the results are impressive but I'd prefer the cruder old ad illustrations that seem to have more life to them. Just my opinion. Oddly, a true technical drawing would be more my thing. I see this sort of thing as uncanny valley.
It got me hunting around a bit on Etsy - I love this guys watch art, would totally get one if I owned any of the baller watches he does artwork about 😂

I’m probably in the minority here, but I’m not a fan of watch paintings/sketches. They definitely wouldn’t fit in with the rest of our wall art subjectively, but moreso what bothers me is watches then becoming such a large part of your identity.
It’s definitely a hobby to me, but it’s not so all-consuming (nor want it to be) that I’d ever feel the need to decorate my walls with it. Especially not when it comes to these hyper-realistic paintings.

I wouldn't mind having a couple of old ads framed.
Not a Rolex fan (watches good, all else bad) but love the art 👌
Wifey not on board with my habit so adding it to walls would be challenging

There's always the garage!

Here's one piece of watch art I've got, by Watches & Pencils. Got it as a gift from a buddy several years ago:
I don't have a Speedmaster, but one day I might order from W&P some artwork with my Longines Spirit

I have this one in my home office.
I have been considering picking up this one too but not sure where I would hang it.
He has a ton of the old manuals and ads too. They are equally good.
I've always liked these too:

Don't need to own a baller watch to hang the art on your wall! 😉
