Watches that you own, that deserve more wrist time than you give them

I own a small collection and try to give wrist time to each. Whilst I do wear my Datejust there are times (like now) when I wonder why I don’t wear it...

What shocks me is how many people (apparently) don’t have a safe in the house… surely you don’t expect your insurance to pay out for watches over a certain value with it being left outside of a safe… have you checked your T&Cs?

I know what you mean… perhaps it’s the fact they are quite subtle overall and not a loud watch. But that’s what I love about it, and why I didn’t go in for the fluted and jubilee version. 🤷‍♂️👍

25-30 pieces, I’m trying to cap mine at 6 😂 I’ve learned to appreciate a lot of watches and can happy love them from a distance, but don’t need to add to my collection.

If you get to 52 pieces you can wear one a week 😜

I have six that I want to cut down, could easily keep adding to the collection but I want to wear them all in a constant rotation. As such, smaller collection.

Strong choice, another staple that you can’t really go wrong with.

Just my own personal opinion but:

  • Fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet
  • Smooth bezel, oyster bracelet

I find the combinations a little off as one is more subtle, the other is more flash.

[Just my opinion not here to start a 🔥]

As above, Rolex, you’re fine. It will be able to be sold.

What is more important I feel is that you understand what you don’t like and take it onboard so you don’t repeat it with another watch. Obvious rule is to try it on before you buy, however this isn’t always possible for reasons we are all aware of.

What do you have in mind as a replacement, has this helped narrow your search?
