Arrrrgggg!!!!!

I can't spend $1000 a month on watches! Already got a Vostok in the mail. *sigh* So this is the ugly face of addiction. Is this thing worth $360? It looks like a perfect example of an pre-James Bond Gruen. Its probably 8 or 10 years older than Sean Connery's watch in Dr No. Seriously, I like this vintage better. It has all the Dr No features. 3-6-9-12 dial with arrow head indexes and a 6 O'Clock sub dial.

I really like vintage Gruen. You can get that watch for less.

Not up to speed on this but doubt you'll lose anything. It's an investment not a "spend" 😎

Does it have the caliber 510?

Its a 460. I know Dr. No had a 510 on Bond at the card table. But it was a Gruen Precision, just newer. A proper 510 like this seems to go for double the money.

Do you what you want

That is a good looking watch but at the same time you need to stay in whatever budget makes you comfortable. I avoided go to a shop that was having an annual sale in case they had something I wanted as I do not want to spend at the moment.

As a lover of Soviet and post-Soviet watches, what ref of Vostok did ya get?

I love that you got a modern Shturmanskije. Speedies are nice, but on of the OG space watches needs to be given its due more often than it currently has been

Fer sure. A Strela is on my short list as well. :-)
