Any Casio or G-Shock recommendations for firefighters-first responders?

Hello everyone! I’m starting my firefighter 1 training course soon and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for any Casio or G-Shock models? Obviously I would be looking for something that would be very versatile, robust and that can take a few hits!

I would look at the Master of g collections; Mudmaster, Mud Man, Rangeman collections, as well as the Frogman collection.

I'd go with a square, fits great, pretty compact for a g shock, fits under sleeves so it won't get caught on stuff, solar and mb6, 5 alarms. Of course there's a inexpensive version without the fancy stuff, around 50 bucks .

Casio mens DW5600BB ,G-SHOCK BLACK OUT WATCH AMAZON,   If you are a first responder, I will buy this watch for you, just to say thank you for all that you guys do.

I think the GWM5610 (square G-Shock with solar charging and multiband 6 syncing) is tough and unobstrusive... the DW5600 is the regular (non-solar, non-multiband 6) version of the square for half the price. I love my GWM5610 👍

I can’t believe I forgot this. If you have the cash, you need to get a Ball Fireman!

Ball has a great history, was originally manufactured in the US, but now a Swiss watch. They make very robust tool watches, although probably not what you’re looking for in your firefighter 1 course.

Maybe after you save someone’s life?

That’s definitely a great goal to set!

I don't know the daily life of firemen. But what first cames to my mind is "No Resin case or band". It's just my worst case imagination if melting plastic on the skin.

The time (digital or analog) should be visual even without pushibg a button due to wearing gloves and carrying tools.

So I think we have to go the "tactical watches" way.

How about this GST-B500D-1A:

Or you go the tritium way to make sure you can see your indizes in the dark without need to recharging the lume while you have to hurry.

For exymple Luminox

Or Traser,  belonging to the company who produces the tactical tritium tubes

And just to remeber but actually more the elegant and expensive way after the action, the Ball Fireman 😊

Thank you! This is very insightful, i’ll definitely do some research into these watches. The Ball fireman is definitely the after action watch goal ;)
