Next To The Bone, Not Above It

This is how I wear my wrist watch, with the watch next to the wrist bone and not on top of it. I like it. It makes sense to me. It's comfortable. I can turn and twist my wrist without the watch getting in the way. However, I've seen enough wrist shots (and in real life) to know that a lot of people wear their watches above the wrist bone. I don't think there's a wrong and right way of putting on a watch. However, to those who do wear them above the wrist, can I ask why? It looks very uncomfortable from where I'm standing and I want to understand if I'm missing out on something you know that I don't. This poll is just to see if there are more people doing it one way or the other. Don't overthink it. It's just a watch.

Pretty much on the bone, mine aren't very pronounced 🤔👍🏻

I wear mine on the elbow side of the wrist bone. It feels locked in there. Elsewhere, waches look crooked it keeps the crown from digging into the back of my hand.

I need a "it depends" option. 😁

I’ve tried above the wrist bone ,absolutely no way it suits me …really uncomfortable ,crown digs into my hand and when I flex my wrist it feels like the spring bars are gonna pop (never a good outcome 😫)

I suppose it’s down to everyone’s individual anatomy.

While I am a bit maniacal, I wear my watch above the wrist bone or right at it, depending on how the strap fits.

I find that right below the wrist bone is most comfortable to for me.

·

I don't have a pronounced wrist bone, so wherever is most comfortable.

·

My watches always tend to fit in right next to the bone.

I like to wear my watches a little loose, I don't like a tight restrictive thing on my wrist.

Just above the bone

I used to wear mine on the wrist bone, but nowadays it's above/next to the bone 🍻

You pic is above the bone 😱

Middle School Me wore my watch loose and down on the back of my hand. But I also wore a silver rope necklace and JNCO Jeans and gelled my hair.

Adult me wears mine on the elbow side of my wrist bone so I can articulate my wrist fully and keep my watch under a cuff.

I can see why this topic is important to you.. 😮

It depends on the watch. Light and small are well locked below the bone.

Big and heavy, better above.

We all have different anatomy, so that’s what matters the most.

Myself I even have a totally different left and right wrists.

On my right, above wrist works better because my wrist and bone are larger, there is no room below. However it hurts my bone.

On my left, not enough bone to hold the watch above.

Below works well, except that it gives me (more) callus on the skin.

Same, just feels right...
