Bringing on the heavy

If watches were food, I'm in the mood for a decadent croquembouche. Something indulgent, sinful, flashy, and all sorts of wrong in the world. In other words, I'd like to see you bring out your heavy hitters.

I'm intentionally asking for those brave enough to flex their most impressive watches -- whether they're impressive because of the brand or the price or their rarity, all are welcome. I wanna see 'em and I wanna feel ENVY.

Now I know that "flexing" is taboo here on WatchCrunch and I know that WatchCrunch was supposedly built to provide an alternative to the flex culture that is Instagram.

But, c'mon, if we can't show off our most bad-ass watches to fellow enthusiasts and not be judged as douches, when can we show them off? Never? Really? Not even just for fun? Can we remove the stick from our collective asses for a brief second and just celebrate other people's horological triumphs?

I propose a safe space, no judgments, just enjoyment of the biggest and the brightest. You got Hublot? Let's unapologetically show it off. You got a GShock that survived a fall from 20 stories high, bring it. You got a rare dirty dozen Omega that's the centerpiece of your vintage collection, yes please. May I see it please?

The one thing I ask is that the watch should be in your possession. No dream watches. You don't need to have bought it, it could be an heirloom, it could have been a gift from a rich distant uncle.

Oh and, also, please don't negate someone else's watch choices. Don't be that guy. Try to be okay with someone else's good fortune. Just try.

So, who's in? Anyone? Why am I hearing crickets.

*Photo above is just for illustration purposes. I don't own any trinity, let alone THAT one.

1976 Omega Seamaster Mariner 1

Omega's first mass produced Quartz, it was their most expensive watch at the time .

Not my most valuable or expensive now, but pretty rare & obscure.

This is THE watch, isn't it? I have a Speedmaster Reduced but it will never touch the glory that yours hold.

How is this entry level? You're crazy. This is peak awesome.

Entry level Blancpain = holy grail for just about everyone :-) Love this watch.

this is one of THE watch for me. the other is a jlc reverso (hopefully) which i hope to own someday 😂. well at least reduced is an automatic watch

You can't get the Reverso before me, I won't allow it.

Well, you probably will. I'm nowhere near ready.

Bull. I hate all that "entry-level" malarkey. It's a Blancpain, that's all I see.

If this was a contest, though it isn't, but if it was, you win. Not that it's a contest. But, yeah, that VC and GO are my favorites on this thread--the VC winning over the GO by a hair.

Thanks 🙏🏻! I do love them both. For me the GO wins by a hair, because its mechanics are much better / quieter. Not surprising that ofc - the GO is brand new, the VC is 75 years old!

Well, now the VC smokes that GO completely. I'm a vintage guy. I love Glashutte but a Vacheron Constantin that's 75 years old? You might as well be Bruce Wayne from where I'm sitting.

Far from it 😂Actually got the VC at a third of the price of the GO at auction. And the only real Bruce Wayne here is @DH_NYC :)

But after buying new for a while, I am now too infected by the vintage virus…started of by a simple Zenith, then followed by the VC. Hunt is on for the next one (now have a JLC in my sights)

It’s entry level for Blancpain. If I had the budget, I’d raid Blancpain’s catalog pretty heavily. LOL
