New Seiko GMT
I finally got my hands on the Seiko 5 GMT (SSK023) this past weekend. I know I could have ordered it from Teddy and had it sooner, but I decided to throw my local AD a bone and wait for them to be able to order it. So far I’m really loving it.
Pro’s:
Stainless steel bezel
Color scheme
Very comfortable bracelet
Con’s:
I’m finding the 39mm to be a little small for this one. I don’t mind the size in a dress watch, but this one wears smaller than I expected.
Overall I’m glad to have it in the collection. It’s likely going to be an adventure watch this summer (along with my G-Shocks)

Thanks for posting this. I’m tempted but really like the white dial, which is JDM only. (Yes, there are sites to get JDM but not worth the premium they charge.) 👍🏻
IMO that's the maximum size for your wrist. Looks great. Seiko's best watch in years.

I definitely get that. I was drawn to this one because of how much it looks like an Explorer II and my favorite dial for that one is the Polar so the desire to have a white dial GMT is there for me as well. But I agree about the premium... probably not worth it right now. Maybe the price will come down a bit in the future.

My wrist photography skills aren't great and it always looks like the watch is larger on my wrist than it actually is. I comfortably wear 42mm watches and own a couple of 46's. Whenever I go smaller from a 42 down to 39, there is a period of time where I look at my wrist and think the smaller one is too small. I know it's nonsense, but it's just how my mind processes it. I appreciate the kind words that it looks good on my wrist.
I have this very same model and have no complaints. Was even surprised quality wise with the bracelet amd finishing.
