Orient Star vintage salmon dial set
From the Orient Star catalog, released in 2003, JDM.
For years I was on a forum where a buddy had the men's model. Made him ridiculously high offers for it but he, wisely, would not part ways with it.
Long out of production, models come up for sale occasionally but they are usually well worn, often missing links and sometimes battered.
Couple of weeks back I stumbled across a seller in Singapore offering the set with one original box and papers from Orient detailing full service on both in the last six months. Got a price I could not refuse.
Lighting in my home office is not great and this is just a quick shot. Flawless, NOS appearance.
This August my wife and I will celebrate thirty years of marriage. This is a good start to gifts for us this year. We also share a Certina 125th Anniversary set with silver dials from a prior anniversary.
