Summer Watches/Straps?

I've had comments like, "that's a great summer strap/watch and it struck me as a bit odd. Do any of you have or consider any of your watches/straps seasonal?

I buy watches to wear them and that doesn’t just mean a couple of months a year.

Leather or Nato all the time. Metal absorbs heat in the sun and freezes fast in winter.

Checking in from Chicago (hot and humid summers) on warm days, I prefer single pass nylon straps. On cooler days or evenings I am happy wearing a watch with a bracelet or leather strap. I do replace a couple of the bracelets on a couple of my divers for the summer with my "summer straps" & usually switch those back to bracelets in the fall. Like many here, I have a number of watches so I can grab a watch with a bracelet on a cooler day or one with a nylon strap on a hot day.

I have a couple very colorful watches that are worn “more” during summer months 🤙

Any watch at any time, but UK doesn't really have extreme temperatures. I will wear bright coloured dials more on a sunny day.

I appreciate the replies thus far. It helps me to see what watch peeps think of when they adjust for Temps.

But what about looks? I have a light blue stingray strap, for instance, which garnered a "ooh, that would be good for summer!".

Not really I wear a watch or indeed change the strap when I feel like it, I am at the moment enjoying rubber straps on most of my divers( fav watch type)

So far the rubber or silicone straps I've used have been extremely comfortable. If you have tried both, can you distinguish a difference?
