Watches you like from brands you don't usually consider.

From time to time, brands you don't consider happen to introduce timepieces that you actually like. It would be interesting to hear from the community what these brands and watches are. Do you have such timepiece in your collection?

One of such watch for me would be the Invicta 1953. I don't own one yet but will be getting one later this month.

I like my 1953.

1953 is a great example, timex harborside coast maybe

·

I have the Pro Diver, and didn't expect to be as fond as I am of it.

·

I have the all black PVD version. I like it quite a bit. It's the only current Invicta that appeals to me (there are a few vintage models that look good too).

·

Truly an anomaly as far as Invictas are concerned.

I love mine.

I love Invicta quality and have 15 of their watches, both Grand- and Pro Divers, plus a "Lefty."

The 1953 is a popular choice as well and has received favorable reviews. 👍

I don't really like most San Martins but do like their Retro diver as well as their original design GMT.

Controversial point: I don't like many Hamilton's either, but I really do like the Murph

Speaking of Invicta, I really like these. They are simple yet pretty nice!

I bought a 1953 from an Invicta store down in Florida. I went to buy the regular Pro Diver but saw the 1953 in the case. I like it, but I hate that they use the NH35 so there’s that ghost date position. The end links on the bracelet are also made of nothing. Might as well be aluminum foil so there’s a lot of rattle over a few weeks. I’d say put it on a NATO and you’ll be swell. It’s a nice watch, though.

I Like invicta for their price point I bought a a variety of different colors and use them like swatches, match a different color with everything for cheap. And to be fair for a really budget option they are quite robust to boot

My old Pro Diver has surprisingly stayed in the watch case this whole time. She was always battling would-be contenders and has stayed in the box, kudos to her. No as much time out but will see action from time to time.

I credit my Pro Diver with introducing me to automatic watches. Since then, I've built more than 40 Seiko mods and bought a couple other keepers. I'm thinking the 1953 is built better, so I may get one. Most other Invicta models I just won't touch.
