Hard to tell from those pictures. The date magnification doesn't look right. The back of the end links also look off. I'm not an expert though. I'd go with the if it seems too good to be true, it probably is
Same here. If you believe it's the same watch at Chrono24 for $1400, why not buy it from them? Why do you want the one at watchfinder instead? Maybe it's not the same watch?
This is one of the most useless discussion topics in watches ever. Watches are worth what people are willing to pay for them. People put value on more than just the metal and see a watch as more than a sum of it's parts.
I'll add a few things.
- Take good pictures in good lighting of the watch from different angles. Clean the watch!
- Be honest about the watch's condition, point out any flaws
- Decide on a price you are willing to accept and don't get flustered by low ballers or tire kickers.
- Decide on what payment methods you will accept and how, stick to it
- Always Always Always pay for shipping insurance and tracking or signature required unless you are willing to take a loss on a watch.
- include shipping/insurance costs in your price, that way you don't haggle with the buyer
- Always wait for payment to clear before shipping
- if a buyer seems flaky, unreliable, or untrustworthy move on, there is always someone else who'll buy your watch. don't chase the sale.
I've sold quite a few watches ranging from sub $100 all the way to $10k plus. I sell primarily on watchuseek, timezone. Have started on Reddit. Been very lucky as I really haven't had any problems. You just have to be smart and walk away from fishy deals.
