Casio square

Hi everyone! I want to buy a Casio square shape and need it to be at least 100 meters WR, so that I can swim with it. Some of them are on a bracelet but I have another Casio on a bracelet and it feels kina cheap so I would prefer the silicone strap variant. The thing is that it’s so many options and I would like to hear, which one would you go for? I don’t want to spend over 100 USD. 😄

The gbd200 is the most comfortable in my opinion. By far the softest strap. Plus the best screen and bonus features like the step tracker, Bluetooth and "find my phone" which is useful for people who lose their phone indoors sometimes.

There's other squares with solar but in my opinion it's not a big deal either way. Plus you have to keep them out in light which I find a bit annoying.

For me the biggest issue with most digitals is that I can't see the local time while I use the timers and that all the modes look the same at a glance which can be confusing and has caused me to be late for stuff.

But with the gbd200 you always see the time. Even in the menu (which is a full text menu right on the watch). And all the modes look totally different.

You can get them used from maybe 60 or new from 110 depending on the color. The popular colors are 150 or so new on Amazon.

Worth every penny.

But if you can go try a few in a store and see what fits your wrist. There's huge variation between the different g shock models.

By the way that gbd goes for around 2 years. And it's easy to swap battery with 4 screws. Uses standard button batteries.

The G Shock models are always rated to 200m WR so you won't have any problem concerning water activities.

Within $100, the best option are the Casioak GA-2100 and DW5600 square models. There are plenty on colors and case materials to choose from depending on the price. The basic silicone ones are usually between $60-100. I'll just put a link so you can navigate through the model variants.

One step above with a better module you can find GW-M5610U which is around $140 msrp but you can find it much lower prices.

If you prefer the square ones and if legibility is a concern the choose the ones with positive display. Personal favourite is the GW-M5610

5610 all the way. The multi-band 6 is really slick. You’ll always have a watch that is perfectly on time and can set all your others watches by it.

Get the GWM5610. It's $98 on Amazon right now: https://a.co/d/2HmDYTc

This one comes with a tide graph if you swim in the ocean. I've found it to be useful on occasion. Right now it's $98 USD on Amazon.

5610 with the updated module all the way! Around 100 £/$ new, sales regularly dip them to around 90, deals to be had on ebay too. does everything. Looks good on all wrist sizes.

Mine is a negative display, but if it’s your first or only g-shock, go with the positive display. Either way, you can’t go wrong with a 5610.
