This was a wedding gift from my dad to me! He saved a persons life as a doctor and was gifted this (his and hers) together.
I had this serviced , they changed the dial for free, my mistake. But they didn’t service the strap. So I had to get a Rolex leather strap. Wondering…should I change it back to the gold or keep the leather? What are your thoughts

If you're going to wear it use the leather leather strap. The bracelets aren't very good IMO.

Completely agree, I love that about #vintage watches...character
I tried leather on mine, but I felt that the watch loses its identity without the bracelet.
I would go with a nice leather strap. It will freshen up th watch and make it you own.
Alligator or snake skin strap 👍
The "flex and gaps" in a jubilee bracelet of this era is completely appropriate. It is from before Rolex started using solid gold for these elements of the bracelet.

Completely agree. Too dressy

Totally agree, I'm considering having it sized so I can use it. Love that it's still fitted to my dad's wrist size though. #vintage vibes

Rolex were kind enough to provide a reasonable price for their real leather strap. But being a new strap, it's lost its #vintage vibes & character.

That's what I love about the #vintage jubilee bracelet.
Not sure of the exact options here, it I’d service or replace the original bracelet. You can always swap between the bracelet and a strap. You don’t have to pigeon hole yourself here.

You can get a lot of quality leather straps better than Rolex. Check out Delugs, Molquin and The Strap Tailor. All very high quality straps with a wide variety of colors.
My wife had same problem it fell of her wrist due to broken pin while at tsa inspection good thing it landed on bin
I’d say leather strap

Third option not straps or bracelets and it’s a #pocketwatches kidding.
