Wounded watches, what would you do?

Had a seizure and a fall outside a Panerai event earlier in the week. Healing up but my Tudor took a pretty bad beating too. Credit to Tudor, it’s keeping perfect time over the last 48 hours, still no...

This is a fun one! I’ve nothing artsy enough to be a contender, but I’m genuinely so curious to see what everyone else carries about 😂

100% haha. Freaked a few people out and learned not to do it with Rolexes on public transport.

The best one has been asking the guy beside me about his MB&F. Turns out he’s one of the Fs in Max Büsser & Friends haha.

Have also noticed a few glances and nods at my Studiounderdog pizza watch from PRX and Moonswatch wearers. The PRX is a funny one, seems to be a 50:50 split between other watch people and folks that were well marketed to outside of the watch media space. Christian Zeron called the PRX the equivalent of a Cartier love bracelet for young men today, it’s pretty accurate!

Thanks! It’ll be wedding bands I’m buying next actually, will knock the watches down a few pegs for the foreseeable future. Maybe not a bad thing, enjoy what we have and all that 😄

Where did you go for your honeymoon? We’re weighing up options and are pretty interested in South Asia actually.

Tag are smashing it on the chronograph front lately. I was super impressed by the glass box series. I’d check the thickness maybe on the Omega if you’ve not tried it on, the co-axial adds a little height.

I’ve not tried the 38 auto on though myself to be clear!

Friend uses his chronograph to track his girlfriend’s time zone. He was much more into the look of a chronograph I think but wanted the functionality of a GMT!

Thanks folks, doing well just a little battered and bruised. Glued and stitched up 😊I think I’ll likely keep it as is then. I’ve a nice dressy gold watch that can stay pristine instead. Just very glad I fell with this on rather than anything more fragile.

It’s not bothering me too much, I completely scuffed the clasp back in 2021 when I wasn’t used to bracelets and scraped the top part of the bezel fairly early on too. I guess these small chips in the bezel are the difference. Polishing might end up needing to be something that whittles the bezel down to slightly different angle. Not sure if I’d be bothered by it more.

Buy a new watch lol oh if only!

Was reading the comments there after waking up and was about to say ‘monochrome’ before I got to the last comment you made haha.

Hopefully it’s a sign of Tudor being allowed to do more of that kind of thing, watches with fewer compromises I guess! I’d love a Rolex Explorer but it’s not enough of an upgrade for me to seriously consider making it a priority in a financial sense.

The Ranger I think was the first stainless model to get the t-fit clasp (after it debuting on the BB58 bronze I believe). With all the new models having the t-fit clasp now, it could be time for a Ranger refresh in the next few years.

High legibility, solid construction. Lugs make strap changes difficult, but it looks better on the steel anyway.
