San Martin SN0129-G Dessert White GMT

Got this for Christmas! It's my first San Martin, but I doubt it will be my last. The quality is excellent, and it's just beautiful. San Martin really offers an unbearable value!

The 39mm case looks great on my 7 3/4in wrist! I was worried it might be too small, but I actually prefer the smaller case size. The taper on the bracelet is lovely as well, very classy.

I love the design of this watch. If they drop the Miyota 9075 in it and offer a traveller GMT the internet would melt.

It's actually had an NH34, which is an unbranded Seiko 4R34. Miyota actually makes a True GMT movement. I would prefer the miyota true GMT. The NH34 is just a modified NH36. They replaced the day complication with a 4th hand. I agree with you though, a true GMT movement would be cool in this watch.

Nice! It would be nice if mine could be retrofitted. Also I wish the made the GMT hand red. It's a darker shade than the other hands but i still confuse with the minute hand more than I wish to admit. Or if instead of tipping the second hand in red they did the GMT hand.

I wrote to San Martin to ask if they were planning a traveler GMT and they replied back right away to say that there is nothing in the pipeline at the moment which is a shame, but at least we know.

·

I really like San Martin’s quality. I have 3 of their watches with 1 more on the way haha!

Man looks so nice. Been debating on this 1 after I jumped on. Pepsi GMT to try the brand. The finishing is well done, especially for the price. I place it above Steinhart and Squale which cost almost 2x more for a GMT. The lume is fantastic. The only issue on mine is the GMT arrow looks like 1 side is cut a little closer than the other. The only design detail I do not like is the GMT hand is all red vs just the arrow. The red ring at the base of the hand stack should be silver.

Sometimes the QC can be a little dodgy, especially on the olderodela. But those are still lovely watches?

Thats a shame. If Seiko would make a true GMT that would be interchangeable with the NH34 I would definitely upgrade my Watch

My big worry is how long the movement will last.

·

Seiko movements are workhorses man, I'm thinking 10 yrs minimum before you really even need to service. I've heard of 7S movement going for 20

Definitely, they do make a true GMT, I think the Presage is a true GMT

Love the dial texture!

That's definitely one of the big draws, and the color as well!

·

This is there year so far they gonna by pass Pagani for sure.

·

You might be right but some people still might not want to pay that much cuz Bugatti makes pretty good quality watch also I just don't like the name and I like the better quality of the San Martin the better finishing and just the better overall look of the watch.

·

I've just ordered the "Desert" dial version.

The brown. White is sold out

Bro if you want the white I would wait until the while it was back in stock or I would look at some of their other options They got some really cool white dial options that aren't this particular dial texture They got some great Explorer too homages that I probably would have got if I couldn't have got this one. Damn I'm glad I got this one I did It doesn't surprise me the white sold out It's just a bomb ass Watch I love wearing it I love looking at it I love just feeling with it. I'm only real gripe is it needs to be regulated but as far as NH34s go is and seco goes it's definitely within their spec I mean I lose about 20 seconds a day I just set it about a minute ahead so I don't have to fool with it for a week or so. I also wish they had red tipped or red coated the GMT hand instead of red tipping the second hand cuz it's hard you can hardly even see it on the second hand but it definitely would have benefited on the GMT hand it would have made it stand out it would have looked really good. The GMT hand is a darker sort of gunmetal rather than the silver of the minute an hour hands. I'm worried you going to be disappointed with the dial color though bro I really am. You're going to love the finishing of the wash though That's where it really stands out The finishing is amazing and the tolerances of it is absolutely spot on San Martin did such a great job on his watches. It's like a cross between a grand Seiko a Rolex Explorer 2 and I don't know maybe some kind of Omega with the lugs and the bracelet. I don't mean to be pessimistic I hope you love your watch there's a lot to love about the watch, That that dial color just didn't appeal to me, That doesn't mean you won't absolutely love it. This watch was a gift from my father so I don't give a shit if it cost twice the amount of the watch to have it serviced and keep working It's going to stay with me forever even if I just have to pop a new movement in whatever I have to do to keep the watch alive and functioning I'm going to do that and you know pass it on to other family once I'm gone.

I've seen a few videos of the brown dial, it's actually better than it looks in the renderings so I have good feelings for real life. It's great to read what the watch means to you personally, wear it with pride!
