Like vs love
I really really like this watch.
It feels well made. The dial is beautiful. Eco-drive is very interesting and robust. It’s a ‘real’ dive watch. I like citizen as a brand. It was good value.
All these positive things, yet I find something lacking.
I just don’t think I love this watch.
My Zelos I love. I feel excited to wear it. This citizen I sometimes feel I force myself to wear. I might try and stick to it and see if a love blossoms. But it is looking like this one might leave the collection. Pity.
Anyone else ever experience this, what did you do?

Yes, it's the simple fact that you can force yourself to love something. There are plenty of watches that are highly regarded, a good value, or otherwise desirable, but that doesn't mean that I want them.
I have also found that the price of the watch above a minimum threshold doesn't matter.

Yeah idk if you can force it. I might try a bit longer. I’m afraid it will always just be a very very nice watch to me

It looks huge. Citizen make great watches but you should see a bit of wrist at both ends of the lugs. Big makes for an uncomfortable experience.

The size is not the issue. It is very comfortable and I don’t think it looks too big for the wrist at all! Wears smaller than the dimensions suggest
I keep the ones I love and sell the ones I like!
Looks good! I have the same one but changed to a white tropical strap and also got a straight endlinks bracelet. Looks very good on both, better than the stock black IMO. Makes the bezel pop so much better. It makes for a totally summery look though, looks much brighter and happy 🙄

I got a Miltat bracelet and it looks very nice but a bit chunky, reminds of a steel tuna. I believe it looks better on a white rubber strap. Will post a pic later

Love like beauty is in eye of the beholder. I love my eco-drive, you don’t love yours. And that is just fine 👌
I’ve had this feeling many times. I ended up regretting having many pieces and have subsequently been more disciplined in buying.
Here are some questions I ask myself
Do I really like it as much even after 3 months have passed?
Would I feel bored if had to wear it for 5 days straight?
Do I have something that is similar?
If I hesitate for any of the above then I know it’s a risk and it’ll likely leave the collection.
Try putting it on a well made bracelet ; I’m guessing your Zelos is on one. Might be the change you’re looking for
