I was fortunate to be able to photograph the new releases from Orion, the dials are made in America with a milled finish, not laser engraved! What are your thoughts?

…are these prototypes before they apply the indices?…i hope.

No indices will be on the dial

Ah. Darn. Well, the dials are gorgeous. Bracelet is not my jam. I love a nicely knurled crown.
Love the dials, but I’d also like the watches a lot better if there were indices.

I think they wanted all the attention on the dial, this is their first American manufactured dial.
The more I see it, the more I like it 😮
Oh I really like this , nice piece indeed.

Really like that the dial is plain. Thats just me though.
I personally own 2 of the Calamity divers, I challenge you to find a watch with the same specs or case design for less (curved caseback and 10mm total thickness). As for the Tesseract a lot of the cost is in the dial, the time to machine each dial is pretty crazy. I'm not sure if Baltic or Zelos has manufactured any dials with a milled finish in the US, I'm not to familiar with their watches.

it's like the date / no date battle 🤣
The day a watch is made that truly satisfies everyone, I think the world will explode.
No date is my jam. On this watch at least!
It’s a nice dial, and I like the colour options on show, but I’m not a fan of the Orion plaque and it looks slightly out of place. Appreciate the craft, but at nigh on $4000USD it’s not one that will be sitting on my radar.
I do like the Hellcat however. Same case.

It’s definitely not for everyone, I feel like this is just the beginning for what they are going to do.
and I love the Hellcat, I have the black dial 😁
I really appreciate the esthetics of this watch. It's going for the now classic Independant Watchmaker look with the name plaque. It's very good looking.
I would like to know more about the dial process since the price is starting to be "up there".
A few articles and their official website says it's milled, not laser engraved, and hand finished.
But, is it completly hand milled as in with a Guilloché hand technique? Or is it CNC milled like, for instance, Ophion Watches?
Potential customers will like to know. Transparency is key to trusting them further on this price point increase.

I'm sure if you emailed them you would get a response to your questions.

You're right, thank you 👍. I thought you might have found out while photographing the watch 😊.
Fantastic shots! The dials are truly to die for. Not sure as many have stated I would like a watch without markers but it does showcase best what makes this watch really unique. I much prefer the Hellcat but I know there is someone out there who will adore what they’ve accomplished here! 🔥🔥🔥
Wow. Stunning.
Nick rocks 👍🏼!!
Quit possibly one of my favorite dre watches period, I absolutly love what Orion is doing.
