Love at first sight

I was looking for a speedmaster for the longest time, you know, doing my research and looking at reviews on different versions of the watch (it's quite overwhelming how many different speedmaster there are out there) on a daily basis. No complaints there as it was actually quite enjoyable.

I ended up with a speedmaster MK40. I literally bought it on the very same day I learned about this watch but I knew this was the one and pulled the trigger right away. This is definitely impulsive on my end but fortunately it's a decision I am very very happy with - Felt like love at first sight.

I love how busy the dial is and the splash of colors - blue, yellow, red and the beautiful pertina on the numerals. The value you get from this is crazy - triple date complication, sapphire crystal, automatic movement, just to name a few. Yet, if you look close enough, this is no doubt a speedmaster like no others.

Beautiful timepiece.

Congratulations.

I have always been curious about the calendar speedmasters and find myself partial to the ones with a silver dial.

That watch released the same year I was born, may have been a hasty purchase but I say it was a good one.

Congrats! I have always pined for this one from afar. I feel the same way about the busy, colorful dial and how it feels just right. I can't imagine wearing a watch that is both colorful and busy everyday, except for this one. This one wouldn't leave my wrist. Well done and enjoy it!

Those are amazing as well

I have the blue dial version of the triple date 3523.80.00. It’s a great watch for the price and totally under appreciated. I was looking for something with day/date and am/pm indicator… ended up with a Speedmaster. Who would have thought?

My favourite Speedy!
