Huge Timex Fan with my very own Timex Museum. Reside in Staten Island New York (born and raised). I love New York City, simple watches , simple life and anything with Peanuts characters. I own well over 100 watches with 95% of them being Timex. Love the cool people on WatchCrunch and all the fun topics and pictures they so freely share. Follow me on Instagram @TimexBadger
Hard to remember, but I vaguely remember a Timex diver when I was a kid.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
No, but I have one from my Father-in-law that just passed and it means a lot to me. Will only wear it on special occasions
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Beware, it's a rare hobby that keeps one up until dawn poring over the most minute details
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Timex. To me a watch is a reflection of who you are. I am not a luxury watch guy. I have always been a lover of Americana and Average Joe type luxuries. Growing up in the 60s and 70s, Timex really reminds me of the average hard working person who would get up, work and do what needs to be done. Most of the guys I knew wore a Timex. I made the decision to start a mini Timex museum in my house and am educating myself on the company, the brand and it's heritage. I like to think of Timex as the honey badger of the watch community.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I would contradict my entire philosophy if I answer this question, but I will play along. I guess it would be the Patek Philippe Minute Repeater 5079J-001 18K Gold Automatic. I would not wear it and display it as a piece of art.
