Greetings from the Lone Star State!

Hi Y'all!

My name is Peter Cho and I'm new to the community. I am a co-owner and designer of Jack Mason watches and wanted to join the group as an enthusiast myself and nerd out with you all. Attaching my watch of the day!

Nice and Welcome! cool watch mind sharing the specs on your chrono ? Did you design this particular one yourself?

Thank you! This is our Avigator series which was designed by another designer on my team, so I can't take credit for this beauty. I have something in the works though 😉

Specs:
45mm
50mm lug to lug
22mm lug width
Miyota 6S50 - Loved the big date function, 1/10 sec, and the meca-quartz type movement.
100M
316L SS
double domed sapphire
SuperLum BGW9

The caseback is one of my favorites parts!

Thanks for the warm welcome! It definitely feels like a great community to be a part of. Also, that's awesome that your buddy mentioned JM! Thats sort of stuff never gets old. Yes, the Avigator was a racing/aviation hybrid. We loved the back story about air racing and thought it would be great to take design cues from it. Check out one of the sketches during our design process!

Welcome to WC. I like the big date display on that chrono.

Welcome to WC.  I'd like to stop by your store next time I'm in Dallas.  I'll see if an appointment is available before I go.  Thanks!

Welcome to WC. I like the big date display on that chrono.

Thank you! The big date is super satisfying. Sometimes I'll fidget around and watch the 19 turn into a 20 to see both date wheels adjust. 😂

Absolutely! It's our first pop-up concept and very excited to be able to provide a fun watch buying experience. Drop in for some cocktails and watches! No appointment necessary!

Hey there, I recently bought a Jack Mason Halyard Chronograph and it's one of my faves! I get tons of compliments on it.

Oh the fun times we had when googling Jack Mason in the early days. Fun fact: The reason why we had to put "brand" at the end of our URL was because someone owned jackmason.com was taken by someone who would not give it up!

Hi Peter

Some nice watches there and love some fonrhe designs.

Couple questions, you have a lone star on the winder of most of them but on the back the design seems to change from an anchor, to a star with fire wings etc.

What is the logo and why do these parts seem to change?

I echo the name comments and would like to see when you have the logo at the top etc.

But your designs and colours look great 👍

Also if you could bring out some mechanical or automatics that would be awesome!

Great question. When we first launched the brand in 2015, I wanted to have a structure where the watches feel into tool watch buckets. We had Dive, Aviation, Racing, Field, and Nautical. Each caseback signifies which category it was from. We created custom emblems with a surrounding texture that related to the category. So for instance, the aviation watches had pilot's wings in the middle, and an airplane turbine engine motif around it. We have since then evolved a bit from categorizing them into these buckets and going forward will have a more unified caseback. We are working on American assembly for our next watch, which is very exciting. Our Youtube channel has a new video series that hints at what our next watch is....

This is currently in the development. By next year we should have several new watches that are premium automatics. Our next watch is going to be an automatic GMT....can you guess?

Thank you! I'm all about the big date function. Wish there were more out there!

Thickness is key for me. So many great watches that are just too thick.

Welcome to the crunch! The watch design looks great but for me it’s somewhat too big.

I hear you. Chronographs are tricky to work around when it comes to design. Of course this particular wire lug design wasn’t necessarily meant to hide thickness too much. What are your thoughts on automatic chronos? I’ve had numerous customers ask for this watch as an automatic.

Thank you, sir! At 45mm it certainly sits on the larger side. We are currently developing a 42 with Ronda chrono. This one should be a more universal size.

I couldn’t wait and just ordered the Pursuit (black dial) and I’m anxious to receive.  I’ll post pics once it arrives.  I still might stop by your store next weekend.

Thanks for the support! I look forward to having you at our store. Might even get a full preview of the new GMT 👀 Cheers!
