I’ve wanted one of these for a while . Went for the light brass (they call it”champagne “) as I’ve got a lot of black watch faces . I had considered changing the hands but decided against it

I just like watches . Especially automatic , the technology dtill impresses me . I like to have numerals and not just bars . The whole day , not an abbreviation

Champagne is correct. I love watches where the day is spelled out at the top. Congratulations on your new Hamilton! 👍
Don't underestimate how tough these are- my Mrs was wearing one when we had a big motorbike crash, watch has a few deep gouges on the case but still runs as good as it ever has. 💪🏻💪🏻Mrs can't run anymore tho 😞

I have a few Soviet watches, the abbreviations are in cryllic, some are abbreviated differently to others🙄 The nerd within me likes to set them correctly, even though I never remember what they are by the next day. 🤓

Meet its little (by 2mm) brother. Exactly the same dial - I've seen yours in the flesh. Definitely what I'd call Champagne.

looks beautiful! funny i just watched a video shot in the 40s of the Hamilton factory showing/explaining how their watches were made. shame they went belly up in the 50s
