I was having a bit of a rough day yesterday. It’s actually been a rough day for almost 2 weeks now. Nothing too serious but a culmination of things that’s wearing me down.
Desperate for some relief I start browsing through watches. Then I happen upon a pre owned Rolex Explorer with financing available. Had someone asked my advice in that situation I’d have screamed “don’t do it!” I was intent to ignore that inner voice. Full steam ahead because regardless of the consequences, and I’m sure there’d be many, I’d be happier to face them with a Rolex.
At the last minute, I found an excuse not to buy. No date. I actually use the date and often would like a day date. In fact I’ve always loved the Tudor Prince, or as it’s called now Glamour. Although the lume isn’t very impressive. So I made up my mind if I’m going to buy it has to be exactly what I want.
I’m still searching.

Hope things work out better in the near future. A crown will be there if you want it later.👍
Oh I know.
My advice to anybodyvbuying a watch, no matter the watch, do not go into debt for it. Been there, done that, got the bankruptcy.

Exactly what I’d tell anyone else. Yet I came so close.
You don't need a date. Just add a day from yesterday 😁

There’s times at work I have to write the date on 20 or so forms and I’ll still look at my watch 5 times as if the date may have changed.

I'm exactly the same 😂
“Buying exactly what I want” should be all of our mantras within this hobby. Nice control. Hang in there!
1/2 the fun is the investigating what I like for me.
The indisputed #1 complication of all time…the date function. Good call, you would have second guessed the purchase every time you looked at the dial.
If you need to finance a watch, then you don't need it. Financing is for vehicles, and houses. There's no other way to say it: financing a watch is unwise. Period.
My two cents. Cheers! 🍻
