Lorier, any good?

Peek in interest about Lorier. Precisely the Neptune. I've been seeing it a lot the past few months and just recently it has entered my radar. I really like the vintage look to it, finishing and quality looks impressive. Miyota 90S5 is it's beating heart with 42+ hours of life. But, I haven't seen it in real life. I see many of you guys overall prefered the Neptune in my previous poll. So, can you real owners tell me what is the Lorier like. I need your opinion! Might pull the trigger.

For my humble opinion, they are fantastic. Just know that acrylic isn’t as fragile as people (who likely never had one) claim it to be.

Miyota 9 series is comparable to Sellita and base ETA movements, sold and thin and reliable AND accurate. Also love the company’s “Ethos” (read their blogs, website, and YouTube videos on the Husband and Wife team).

I have the Hyperion ✌️

Is an amazing watch

I’ve read nothing but praise

I don't own one, but I've held many of them at various Windup Watch Fairs and I can tell you they are top notch. I am considering getting a Hydra SIII myself.

BLUFF: I am a Lorier Fanboy.

If you have any questions let me know.

Mine has been running fantastic since '21. I have managed to magnetize it twice. Once was my fault, the other no clue, but I do work at times around strong magnetic fields.

Haven't Polywatched it once since '21. But that's just cause I like showing the battle scars if you will.

It's been through rivers, ruck marches, firing ranges, demo ranges, a UXO call or two, several other work related things, bath time, playing fetch with the pup and just kinda worn all the way around.

Pros:

I LOVE the acrylic.

Size.

Gilt style color.

Case shape/lugs.

Goes with any strap you could want.

Actual no date complication for a no date dial.

Engraved case backs are AWESOME!

Cons:

Rotor could be loud if that's a concern.

It can be magnetized.

Acrylic if that's a concern.

You might end up ordering more Lorier's (I have a triptych now 😂)

Their ethos and their design philosophy, including which three historical references they drew inspiration for, is what drew me to them in the first place.

Wow you use your tools 🔥 😎👍

I'm thinking about a Falcon or a Hydra.

I got my brother this watch for one of his birthdays. We both love it, and it’s a great all around watch. It looks good and can take a beating as well

Have a Hyperion on the way. They’re incredible watches

·

I'm scared about the shipping from US to Eu, a lot could happen with a watch. Any advice please?

If you're willing to spend the additional cost for international shipping, go for it. It's very unlikely that something goes wrong on the way. Even if something unexpected happens, the parcel should usually be insured and the customer service should be able to help you.
