So excited to share my first NWA of 2023! This is the Grand Seiko 4520-8000, a model originally released in 1968 and only manufactured for a few short years into the early 70s.
I love the symmetry of this dial. It’s funny because the things I used to find boring about this watch when I first saw photos of them online a few years ago (the simplicity of the design and the chunky lugs) are now the things that I love the most about it!
Funny how our tastes can change over the years!
Would love to see photos of anyone else’s vintage Grand Seikos!

Made to last a lifetime, or two or three! Fantastic!!!

I agree! It was serviced just before I received it and is keeping incredibly accurate time. Amazing to think that 50 years after it was built, it’s still doing its job beautifully!
Those are gorgeous. The King Seiko is particularly spectacular. Thank you for sharing these!
Congratulations on an amazing watch!
Love mine, not a Grand Seiko but a King Seiko produced around the same era

What a beauty!
I constantly surprise myself with how my opinions about styles, colours and sizes keep evolving and changing.
I just bought this King Seiko from 1970 and I love it. I would not have been interested in this case size a year ago.

Amazing, isn’t it?! That‘s a great looking KS!
Man that is a stunning watch! I'm still hunting for my first vintage GS
That's a really beautiful watch! Congrats for the great find ✨
May I ask about the strap it is wearing?
Snap same taste my friend 👌❤️
