Latest Purchase - Casio Duro

Just had this arrive from the US, great value for £47! The bezel has next to no play and is lovely and ‘ratchety’, but a little difficult to grip. The strap will be getting changed out for a ’Bond’ NATO this evening but the supplied strap isnt as bad as I was expecting - it feels like my G Shock ones.

Glad I got the Marlin on the dial as the UK ones dont have these now.

This is earmarked as a summer ’beater’.

Whats everyones thoughts on the Duro?

I love my Duro. Killer watch. Was my first piece that started it all. The original strap isnt bad but once you put it on an actually rubber strap there is no turning back. Mine is currently on a cheap Aliexpress rubber with with red stitching. Perfecto.

Great watches. One of the best "bang for the buck" watches around.

I have 2 and looking at a third. The strap I got for the version with the gold accents cost more than the watch!

The rubber strap supplied is awful (sorry - disagree with the first post), get it swapped out immediately. Otherwise, it’s a beast. I can’t believe such a watch exists for under £50.

Love it! Such a shame it's 44mm as it's just too big for my wrist. Congrats to you 👏🏼

·

Bought the blue one after viewing a great review from Jody on JOMW channel. Swaped the OEM rubber for another rubber, dark blue with deployant clasp.

previously bought a black one for my son, who uses it as a proper beater

The watchworld is a better place with the Duro. Blancpain Bathyscaphes owners won't be impressed, but, putting the price thing aside, it's a good looking and reliable tool. Mine sits in the watch box next to fancier pieces and serves as back-up solution when all the others have died

·

I’m waiting for one to arrive from over the pond too. NATO straps on order too……including the black/grey Bond one.

·

A fantastic watch, I have 2 myself. A watch you can throw on and do anything with hiking, swim. First thing I did was change to a nato strap. Enjoy

A watch so nice, I bought it twice!
Black and Blue versions are classics. Would love the green bezel version someday.

The green strap looks great with the gold.

Have heard nothing but good about them. Plan on getting one my next trip back to visit my inlaws in the Phils and give it to one of my nephews.

·

I've got two, both with JB NATOs. Probably going to get a blue one next. I'm a bit of a fan!

Looks great! Id like the gold one with the other Bond Nato…

Any source for quality NATOs by the way guys? Mine are off ebay and feel a little... cheap?

Can't beat the value and I agree the strap isn't as bad as people knock it. I dropped mine on the concrete in the garage and she's still ticking. A little too big and my wife hates it but when ever I get an impulse to get Seiko samurai I just slap on the duro for a few days and boom, 400$ saved. Also a certified strap monster.

Mine are Sniper Bay from Amazon. They're not particularly expensive and quality seems pretty decent. I've bought more expensive ones which don't appear to be much better.

Out in the wild for a dog walk this morning!

First impressions are that its very light for the size, probably because of the quartz movement? The strap is very comfortable. Its nice and legible at a glance. Very happy!

Every time I see a thread about the Marlin. I immediately go put mine on and remember that it’s an amazing value.

A great watch, I have 2 of them, one is the "Batman" version. I quickly changed out the rubber band for a nato and metal bracelet. A great beater has never let me down. My only issue is I wish it was 40-42mm case. Enjoy
