Do you swim with your GMT?

Despite the 200m water resistance something feels weird about swimming with an aviation watch. Am I the only one? Haha!

Planes often go down over water.

Swam once with my Glycine Airman just fine. If it’s newish and if it’s got a screw down crown (like my model of Airman) I’d be okay to swim with it.

·

I have the same Tudor but never swam with it. Aviation watches, probably not

·

I swim with my GMTs. Not sure why it feels weird to you.

This is very true! 🤣

Maybe their original purpose was as an aviation watch but I bet more people use them as vacation watches so will be in the sea and swimming pools with them.

Yeah, I'm glad of the water resistance for sure! One of my negatives about my hamilton khaki. Brilliant everyday watch bur barely any water resistance!

·

It wouldn’t be my first choice, but I would hesitate to swim with it.

·

Dunk that thing

·

I can't even swim without my GMT let alone with it. 😢

·

I only swim with dive watches on.

·

Pools and teh ocean are too rough for a nice watch.

Unless you are diving and even then, do I really want to dive with a several thousand dollar watch when I have a dive computer? Unlesas of course I am a professional diver.

This one goes swimming on a regular basis.

·

Nope. Say you travel to the Caribbean on vacation and you want to know your "home" time AND you are at the beach and want to take a dip... or you could bring the Willard too, no?

·

Why not?

I swim with all of my watches except one.

If I’m drunk jump in the pool maybe for sure.
