Are tudor watches underrated?

Is the tudor the most underrated watch brand? I have one and frankly it’s an amazing watch, the finishing the finesse the pricing and value.

I've got the Silver BB 58 and it's so so nice I love it, doesn't carry the brand of Rolex but in terms of the quality it feels close to me!

Tudor … underrated?

80% of my Instagram feed is Tudor BlackBay if I want it or not. I think there is no watch that is more overrated at the moment.

The fact that people see it as a cheaper Rolex makes it highly desirable today. I don’t like Tudor though…

I think it’s a jurisdictional thing. i am from india and it’s not available anywhere. It’s also not available easily in Dubai. Not sure about the UK, US but as far as I know, you can’t walk into an AD and buy a black bay. waitlisted charging a premium etc - for the black bay models. The reason social media is full of tudor is also a reason behind the demand.

Yeah it’s the same with Rolex. Seeing one everywhere but not being able to get one yields two kinds of people:

The ones that are “disappointed“ and buy other brands like Omega instead.

The ones that are being fascinated by this unavailability and want one even more.

I‘m glad I am the first person. Rolex and Tudor just lost my respect and desire.

In Europe (especially Germany and Switzerland) you can get most Tudors without any waiting time, I was offered one multiple times but it’s just not my type of watch 🤷‍♂️

Not the Panerai, that’s for sure. It’s too polarizing for my taste.

JLC is a very traditional watch manufacturer, nearly all of their pieces are classy and dressy.

Omega has more „every-day-watches“ and the coolest history in my eyes. Therefore it would be and actually is my favorite out of these three.

I don’t know if underrated is the word because the black bay model line is quite prolific and pops up in my Instagram and YouTube feed constantly. However, I do think that tutor as a brand gets some negative shade thrown its way because people think that it’s a cheap/poor men’s Rolex. But Tudors are creeping up into the $7k+ range for a Black Bay Chrono S&G and $5.5k easy for GMT S&G. They aren’t cheap watches. They’re just cheaper than a Rolex. I’ve found so much happiness in my collection of Tudors. Variety is the spice of life over at Tudor. They’ve got the Black Bay Ceramic, Silver Black Bay 925, Black Bay 58 Bronze & Titanium Pelagos. Rolex uses Tudor to experiment with new materials and test the target market. They also do a damn fine job at taking market share from the likes of Omega and Breitling
