Lots of research and finding the right one at the right price is extremely challenging considering the age of the watches I collect and this is no slouch!!.probly my best find yet!!
It appears to be made during the days when Radium was used for lume. If that's the case, I'd hesitate to open it, since Radium dust is breathable and, well, you know, radiation and all.
If I'm wrong feel free to enlighten me, Crunchers.
Still a cool-looking watch though. LOVE the hand colors & dial patina! 👍

What watch is the guy in the bunny suit power washing the rig wearing? And by the way the guy with the goggles in the foreground looks like he needs to change the filter in his respirator. His pallor looks a little too red, no?
I love watches like this. @Porthole and I have a bit of a fetish for small military-inspired watches, with him being far more knowledgeable than I am. I own a Cyma with a possibly Frankensteined 234 movement and an Oris from the '50s with the calibre 454.

Easy now… fetish is a bit far, but that Minerva is right up my street. Patina is pretty. Minerva calibres are good, I’d be curious to see what’s inside this one.
Your Oris upsets me… you know how I feel about pin-pallets.

The guy power washing is of course wearing a G-Shock, duh. And the guy with the "red pallor" opened a vintage radioactive Minerva without a proper respirator. 😂

I hate pin-pallets and I'll probably never buy another one again, but I do enjoy them for their troll-factor. I own two BFGs and a very rare Oris. I am the bravest idiot alive.
Thanks for all the feedback crunchers!. Got called on an emergency waterline break last night so I had to work and couldn't get back right away but I found it at a great price and it's the type of watches I collect so it was a win win!.the guy I bought it from says he fell into some collections and was selling some off and this was to good to pass up. Everything looks original on the watch, did a lot of research and comparing online and it's legit.. again this is what watch collecting is about the hunting and catching of great pieces in the wild.
There will be more amazing pieces to come stay tuned lol..cheers!!

Well, for what it's worth, after some more intense digging, my Cyma may not be Frankensteined at all. It actually has six jewels and it's running with shocking accuracy; it hasn't lost a minute in over two days, which, firstly, is better than a lot of Seikos, and, secondly, is mighty impressive for a watch that's probably just over eighty years old.
i love watches and everything about them!..been collecting seriously now for a few years and cant wait for the future and what the future brings for watches! cheers!

That Minerva is too cool and sublime to boot! Incabloc?
Very cool. I have a similar looking Ceres from the 40s. Its 16mm lugs can sometimes be problematic to find straps for but I love its size and fit.
Stunner⭐️⭐️

Looks great. I own a couple of 31-32mm watches myself from the time when that was the standard for men's watches. I prefer small watches.
That Minerva is too cool and sublime to boot! Incabloc?
I believe so..I can't tell if it's incabloc but it does have shock protection
