Perhaps you, too, have been confronted by this watch while browsing eBay; it's quite readily available. But you're probably the kind of sensible person who'd rather keep his $37 than exchange it for the dubious satisfaction of finding out exactly how bad the Machine Watch is.
I am not that kind of person. I had to know, and now I do. This is a very bad watch. But a pretty great knickknack! I have "sized" the bracelet insofar as that's possible with this monstrosity. I have put it on a few times, just to get pictures of it. I will not be wearing it.
I'll save further thoughts for a proper review when time permits, but just couldn't wait to present this for your consideration and reactions in the meantime.

I love crazy, impractical oddities like this. Can't wait for a review.
I bought this 25 years ago, X DATA quartz watch. Ha Ha I just found this a couple days ago thining out my stored items. Popped in a new battery, found the spare links, and now it’s in my collection.

I was just in the middle of reconstructing what I could of the history of this watch for an eventual review, and now you've added a truly magnificent complication to the story! Clearly this is closely related, but the differences are not totally insignificant, either. May I ask what the construction of the bracelet is like?
For science!

I don’t have the box but bracelet is steel large side links w/ connector links. The glass is mineral crystal , actuating lid glass is acrylic.

Thanks! Again: similar but not the same. Fascinating because our watches clearly share an inspiration but do not have any parts actually in common!
If it slow opens because of the "hydraulics" it's a win and nobody can convince me otherwise 🤣

I would heartily agree with you! IF that's what happened. But no: the "hydraulics" are purely decorative; the cover merely snaps open. Alas!
that is stupid and digusting
and I love it
challenge accepted! headed off to the review!!
