Watch Storage

I’m always curious how fellow watch collectors store their watches. Besides the traditional watch boxes, does anyone else use anything unique? I picked up this small tool box at Costco over the summer and it’s perfect for my needs. I have 20mm bands/spring bars in one drawer, 22mm bands/spring bars in another drawer, and then watch tools and other misc. items in the bottom drawer. How does everyone else store their watch gear???

This is a great idea.

Besides my watch box, I have an IKEA Eloven drawer and a few cigar boxes.

Not as creative but gets the job done. I first saw it on YouTube https://youtu.be/MoYC4xX_mmM?si=SHh7Ni4oxK8U03Vs

I have several display boxes from Holme & Hadfield. They are cool looking and well built but I don't know if they are really unique.

I keep the rest in watch winders or display boxes.

The modular are the best since I can add modules or change their configuration on a whim.

Honestly, mine are scattered... Tools and straps in one drawer, some watch boxes in another with a couple watches, one in a winder... This toolbox idea is brilliant though! Now I'll be looking for a well-priced one :-). Thanks for the idea!

This was my old setup but just recently moved into more traditional boxes.

New set up below - still need to figure out my strap storage but plan to reduce number of straps drastically as I am not wearing them as much.

Genius! 🌈

·

How I store spare parts and straps. Not a recommendation.

I placed led lamps on the solar powered section….😁

Awesome setup. Do you think there's enough space in the top of that tool box to do the cut away foam to keep them from sliding around?

Mine is not as curated as you all and with over 200 watches its a bit of a monster. Its also very personal to me, so not to show or flaunt. Like FlatteryCamp Im all over the place 😉. I have two of these steel drawer sets full of affordable watches, then tools, cleaners in the upper tray, then an extra Costco safe thats lockable with valuables, and watch suitcase to fill up😀

Who makes those winders?

Love the tool box! So I got sick of the normal watch case in my closet so added some shelves next to my desk and then did a little improvising.

Got this stone serving tray from target and cit some felt to size so they can lay flat.

My wife had these clear containers for different items that house my straps and got this Toyo steel tool box for my tools.

They all hang on my shelf and keep everything nice and organized but easily turns my work desk into a hobby desk.

That’s a great idea! I might need to check out Ikea for one of those.

Nice! Yeah, straps can become a whole other monster on their own 🤣

That box is 🔥

Oh yeah you could totally do a piece of custom foam. I’ve been meaning to get more of just the tool box liner foam for the top and drawers.

·

Love the tool box look that would do me fine .

·

Unique? I use a cardboard box held together with some staples. Works like a charm.

·

Wow, great idea. I have Dad's 60s-70s era beat-up toolbox somewhere in the garage. Looks like a cool weekend refurbishment project for my collection that is growing a little out of control.

·

Love the repurposing! 👍

Who makes those winders?

These are BOXY fancy brick winders. You can see them also in the background in some of Jody from JOMW YouTube reviews. They are stackable and can share power with each other, which is quite convenient. Mine are stacked on top of a shared power base tray, which means that I can extend my current setup up to 3 rows of 4 winders each to a total of 12.

You can find them on Amazon and ebay if you are interested.

Stop. Now I’ll need to do this and buy more watches to fill it up
